ARLINGTON, VA--Capitol Partners, one of the Mid-Atlantic region's premier private equity firms, has announced the completion of its acquisition of CareSouth Health System from The Central Georgia Health System, a $600 million in sales not-for-profit healthcare provider based in Macon, Georgia. CareSouth Health System, which services more than 1.8 million patient visits in 5 southeastern states through more than 120 offices, is a $50 million in sales diversified home health management company with nearly 3,000 employees and whose headquarters are located in Macon, Georgia.

Capitol Partners' investment strategy is to work with management in acquiring controlling interests in a number of companies which act as platforms in consolidating their respective industries. The acquisition of CareSouth, by Capitol Partners and management, is part of a long-term strategy to grow the company's operations in the southeastern U.S. through internal growth and complimentary acquisitions.
