John Walsh Analyst Mr. Walsh is an Analyst with Capitol Partners. Prior to joining Capitol Partners, Mr. Walsh worked as a Financial Consultant with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause. While working at Baker Tilly, he conducted due diligence and performed valuations, including the financials of an acquisition of a $100 million London based restaurant chain. Prior to his work at Baker Tilly, Mr. Walsh was an Auditor at Primex Mortgage Corporation. There he collaborated with commercial banks to perform audits on local businesses and corporations seeking loans. Mr. Walsh serves on the Board of Directors for the Prince George’s Literacy Council, where he serves as the Treasurer for their $2.1 million dollar budget. There he has organized the education of over 1300 GED students and has improved the program’s retention rate by 30 percent over the last two years. While completing his Bachelors' degree in Finance and Operations Management at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park, Mr. Walsh has been an active member of the QUEST Honors Society and completed his capstone project for the program where he worked with a Fortune 500 company by recommending and implementing cost-savings that amounted to the company saving over $150 million. Additionally with this program, Mr. Walsh conducted research with leading Chinese companies on United States – Chinese relations in terms of supply chain and operational management. |
